The Price Unpaid

to be freed from life eternal?
Would one give their very soul
to be released?
Is its sum a certain number?
Can one give the whole amount…
to be unchained from Hell’s torment
which cannot cease?
What if, indeed, it mattered not?
What if – all wealth – was yours to give…
to live exactly as you pleased
without adjustment?
What would you do when comes HIS day
and all you know retreats to gray?
Will what you paid appease the LORD
when HE brings Judgment?
To these words then listen close
for those who call HIM “LORD” are spared!
No sentence nor ageless correction
waits for them!
This fact exists because their charge
was crimson covered just by CHRIST…
who sacrificed HIMSELF for sin…
and rose again!
Thus no cost nor debt remains
for every soul who bends their will
and says that JESUS is the Master
of their lives!
Their joy in HIM exceeds all else
and all such “wealth” in Hell’s accounts!
As such, my friend, accept the ONE
who paid your price!

Devotional: This is the message of Salvation, my friends! As Jim Elliot, the missionary who died in service for CHRIST, stated in his October 28th 1949 journal, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose."
Get rid of your wisdom and the desire to try and pay the price yourself…through good works or whatever. Give your life to CHRIST and gain Eternal Life full of joy! Don’t delay, my friend! Accept the LORD…today! Amen and amen!
