Lead or Host a Bible Study

Cross Fish SymbolScriptural references:

Ephesians 4:11-15 “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.”

DesperateWhat’s that mean?

“To prepare God's people for works of service,”. This is the reason we press forward in HIS work! To prepare others to serve as GOD intends for us to do! No one became a leader overnight.

Every Godly man or woman you see in leadership today was led by someone…to get to that point. There was lots of learning. Lots of sacrifice. Lots of struggles and aches and pains to go through first.

So if you avoid the preparation and simply hope to get noticed right away...you will be disappointed. HOWEVER! If you submit to HIS training and accept HIS timing, you will be more than ready and capable to train others and watch them serve effectively as well. Remember, the leadership role is a privilege!

It won’t always have a title and a salary with it. Most likely, it will be unheralded service that you perform…in love…for the body of CHRIST. As such, when you label your walk with GOD as a “passion” instead of a “profession”, then you are sure to witness HIS power in the classes you lead and in lives HE changes…through you!
