Who is a Beacon?

Beacon
Websters’ Dictionary defines a beacon as:

1) a signal fire commonly on a hill, tower, or pole
2) a lighthouse or other signal for guidance, a radio transmitter emitting signals for guidance of aircraft
3) a source of light or inspiration

For the Christian to serve as a beacon, one must be an intentional, committed, and passionate source of HIS light and inspiration. Consider the Lighthouse. Its presence is intentional. It is by design that it was built and from designs that they constructed it. It is committed because it’s immoveable. It can then be depended upon to guide ships on their travels…as long as its light shines!  For the passion comparison, we look at the keeper of the lighthouse. In human terms, that’s us...our core, our inner soul. We are called to keep HIS light shining within us before all…to bring praise and glory to GOD’s Name. So those who do HIS service with zeal…with great energy…are those who HE sees – as Godly beacons! Prepare to shine brightest for the SON!

Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
